About

As a child, I moved to Morehead City and attended Morehead City Elementary School, Morehead City Middle School and West Carteret High School.

After graduating from East Carolina University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, I returned to Carteret County to establish my career on the Crystal Coast.

As an On-Premise District Manager with Empire Distributors, Inc, spanning almost 20 years, I am partnered with more than 300 plus businesses in beverage and hospitality programs across five counties in Eastern North Carolina.

I am a Certified Sommelier, through the Court of Master Sommeliers, CS, a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators, CSW and also manage and lead three teammates daily to build and develop superior experiences across eastern NC.

As a mother of 2 boys, who inspired my community involvement,
I have served 5 years on the Parent Advisory Council, Beaufort Elementary School, 3 Years as Co-President Beaufort Elementary School PTO, and 5 years as Treasurer of Beaufort Little League. During my time in these positions, I have obtained grants of $50,000 for an Outdoor Science Classroom at Beaufort Elementary School and $15,000 for an Athletic Track serving the students at Beaufort Elementary School and Boys and Girls of the Coastal Plains.

Beaufort is growing. Over the years, I have seen and witnessed the challenges of many of our organizations, businesses, and their employees. I have also seen and felt the challenges that families experience here in Beaufort. It is my belief that I will be a great voice and advocate for everyone in our community alike.

My immediate focus is to actively address parking, sewage, and water so that our town and the businesses that support it can continue to thrive. Proper planning is absolutely imperative to the success of our town. I am prepared to work hard to ensure that it happens with transparency, honesty and integrity.
